Call for presentations

Posted by  spiffy  May 19, 2013

Although this blog has been quiet since March, the organisation of State of the Map 2013 has been anything but inactive. It's been a busy couple of months, during which we have finalised the ticketing website, launched our call for presentations, and signed up our first few sponsors.

If you follow our twitter account, or are subscribed to any of the main OpenStreetMap mailing lists, then this news probably isn't new to you. For everyone else, apologies that it is late - we will endeavour to keep you informed via this blog up to and during SotM 2013!

So what are we looking for from this years presentations? Well, the theme of the conference is Change so presentations addressing this theme are of particular interest. For example, if you have something to say about switching to OSM, barriers to its use, apps for mobile mapping, changing community organisation or behaviour, historical mapping, or just anything that you want to present, then we want to hear from you.

Head over to the call for presentations form, to submit your presentation proposal. To keep things easy, at this stage we just need a few words, not a full presentation. You will however have to act quickly - call for presentations closes in 3 weeks on Monday 10 June 2013.
